September Student Orientation

While students at other universities and colleges are already diving into their first week of classes, CCC students are building community and getting to know each other at a three-day Orientation. Orientation is jam-packed with exciting activities and workshops designed to give students a chance to meet fellow students, explore the many resources available on campus, and experience the community that makes CCC such an extraordinary place.

This is a very exciting time at the College with new faculty, new classes, new facilities, and great new opportunities for students to grow, both in and out of the classroom.  We look forward to the new class joining us in September and hope to make Orientation the perfect start to the academic year.

Orientation is a great event for both new and returning students. Days are filled with activities and workshops designed to help students connect with each other and explore the many on campus resources. At this year's Orientation, we will also be exploring the year’s academic theme: COMMUNICATING. Evenings feature optional activities that allow students to experience the community that makes CCC such an incredible place. This year we introduce a new element on the final day of Orientation: we are hosting an OPEN ADVISING day, where students have access to peer advisors and the entire staff advising team. We feel that this is an excellent way for students to start planning their academic careers at CCC and beyond.

To ensure that we have all necessary information before Orientation begins, all students must return their Waiver and Medical Form to CCC either by mail, by fax, or in person by August 31.

Corpus Christi is an exceptional choice for post-secondary education, and we hope to make the transition to this chapter of life even smoother and more exciting with our annual Student Orientation.
