Corpus Christi recognizes the Adult Basic Education Provincial Diploma for admission to the first year of an undergraduate program. A minimum average of C+ is required based on Mathematics, English, a Science and a Language at the Advanced Level and English plus three academic subjects at the Provincial level chosen from the following: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, History, Literature, Mathematics and Physics. College transfer courses may not be used as part of the ABE Provincial Diploma for admission to the College.
Students who complete their secondary education through home-schooling are evaluated on an individual basis.
Applicants with prior post-secondary credit are assigned transfer credit according to best practices as set out by BCCAT. Credit is not assigned for non-academic experience although this experience may be taken into account when considering an applicant for admission as a Mature Student.
Corpus Christi evaluates a mature applicant's potential for academic success on an individual basis. Not all mature applicants will be admitted to Corpus Christi.
Mature Students must have been out of formal education for at least 18 months and must be at least 19 years old. Once Mature Students have earned a minimum of 9 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, they may apply through the Registrar's Office to be evaluated for admission to the Liberal Arts Diploma program.
Applicants seeking to take a limited number of courses for personal interest who meet the minimum entrance requirements may be admitted as Unclassified Students.
Students in good standing at other post-secondary institutions may apply to take a limited number of courses at Corpus Christi, subject to available space. Students must provide a Letter of Permission (LOP) from their home institution.
Students who have demonstrated academic excellence and who are enrolled in a high school graduation program that meets the College's entrance requirements may enroll concurrently at Corpus Christi College in a limited number of courses through Running Start.
