RELG 225: Christianity and Science: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives and Issues

This course studies the various ways in which Christianity and science have interacted over the past two millennia. A consideration of various approaches that can be used to conceptualize the relationship and how these have developed through history. The course will also consider several contemporary issues including Church teaching authority, geology, evolution, natural disasters, and environmental ethics. The course will encourage students to explore ways that Christianity and science can complement and collaborate with one another and contribute together toward social development.
