Join us on Apr. 29 to celebrate our 2025 student graduates of the INSPIRE Leadership Certificate Program.

For over 25 years, Corpus Christi College has been committed to creating educational pathways that empower students passionate about community service. As a not-for-profit institution rooted in inclusivity, we prepare students for impactful careers while instilling a deep commitment to leadership, education, and sustainability. 

The INSPIRE Leadership Program exemplifies this mission, equipping students with the skills and values to address real-world challenges through innovative projects that support the environment, community, and education. 

Our Focus Areas: 

Community: Strengthening Connections and Support 

Building stronger, more connected communities is at the heart of our mission. Through student-led initiatives, we empower marginalized groups, support local businesses, and create meaningful connections that foster resilience and growth. 

  • Stick and Support by Caitlin – non-profit supporting single mothers in Vancouver. 
  • Spotlight on Leadership by Mauricio – empower leaders through the arts, teach leadership in arts classes. 
  • Corpus Christi Scholarship Tournament by David – giving every athlete, regardless of connections or elite status, a chance to earn scholarships and pursue their dreams. 
  • Hearts for the Philippines by Ella and Andrea – ongoing support for kids in need, driven by youth, rooted in Catholic faith of love, charity and compassion. 
  • Empower Through Expression by Lynn – free hip-hop, dance sessions and resources at Steveston London Secondary School, building confidence, creativity, expression and collaboration. 
  • Newman Club at Corpus – Isabelle, Jarod, Juliana – fostering a greater understanding of the Catholic intellectual tradition and provide a greater sense of community for young Catholics. 
  • Paws for a Cause Fundraiser by Gabriella and Anabela – passion for helping others, especially through the healing power of animals. 

Education: Empowering Minds and Building Futures 

Empowering students through education and mentorship is a core value at Corpus Christi. Our projects support academic success, mental health awareness, and leadership development, ensuring that students have the resources they need to thrive. 

  • Mindful Mobility by Naomi – improving “student symptoms” via passive and active stretching/mobility exercises. 
  • How to Survive Your First Semester by Josh – providing high school students with tools for easier transition to post-secondary. 
  • Learning and teaching at Lyceum by Angus – teaching youth literature and art, and a potential career in teaching. 
  • Less Stress = Success by Rachel – design and plan outdoor space inspiring people to spend some quiet time. 
  • Link Up by Khushal and Darren – building confidence to network. 
  • My Dwelling Place by Rebecca – a Catholic mental health resource. 
  • Teach Forward by Nikolas, Jackson, Santiago – identify and appreciate the benefits of post-secondary education. 
  • The Person Within by Isabella, Elizabeth – effect of sports and mental health 

Environment: Sustainability and Stewardship 

At Corpus Christi, we champion sustainability and environmental stewardship through hands-on initiatives that protect and restore natural spaces. Students have taken the lead in projects such as:  

  • Empower Vancouver Initiative by Eric, Evan and Max – fighting food waste and food insecurity one meal at a time.
