Reading under a minute.
Reading break is the perfect opportunity to recharge, catch up on studies, and make time for yourself! Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by coursework or just need a breather, here are three tips to make the most of your reading break, and all breaks in general.
Balance Rest & Productivity
It’s tempting to either try to get all your work done or become distant from a schedule. The key is finding a balance. Set specific study goals—whether it’s reviewing notes, completing assignments, or prepping for assessments—but also schedule some downtime for yourself! What an episode of that Netflix show you love, hang out with friends, and book some time to do a few of your hobbies. A structured plan will help you stay on track without feeling burnt out.
Engage in Self-Care
Use this time to focus on your well-being. Sleep in a little, exercise, or spend time outdoors. Taking care of yourself physically and mentally will help you return to class feeling refreshed and ready to tackle new challenges.
Try Something New!
Breaks are a great time to explore hobbies or activities you’ve been putting off. Read a book for fun, start a creative project, or visit a new place. Stepping away from academics can give you a fresh perspective and boost motivation when you return. However, if there is some academic work to be done, don’t push it all until the last minute, or you’ll be coming back to school exhausted.
By balancing study, self-care, and personal growth, you can turn your reading break into a fulfilling and enjoyable experience. Make the most of it!
