Winter Wear Drive (all of November) 

Do you have winter clothes that you’d like to donate? You can drop off gently used winter clothing during the month of November at Plato’s Cave for vulnerable people in the downtown eastside. Led by student Project Coverup with donations going to charity the Door is Open.  

Q & A with Fr. Mark. Tue, Nov. 14. 12pm-1:20pm, Room 300 

Join us for Q & A with Fr. Mark on Tuesday, November 14, noon-1:20PM. Do you have questions on life and death, war and peace, faith and beyond? How do they relate in ethical and moral terms? Bring your questions as we discuss these and more.

E-Sports Day, Fri, Nov. 17. Noon, Plato’s Cave 

On Friday, Nov. 17, at noon, meet us for E-Sports Day at Plato’s Cave. Make friends, and challenge them to e-sports. Bring your PS5 or gaming laptop. 

Sandwich making/Curbside Outreach 

Let’s continue this term with acts of kindness for our neighbours. On Nov 23 and Dec 8, 12-1:30 pm, room 300, join us in making sandwiches for people in the downtown eastside. In partnership with non-profit Door is Open. On Friday Dec 15, a team of us are going there to prepare and serve dinner. Sign up on Eventbrite links below. . .

On Tuesday, November 21, 12-1:30pm, join us for Jackbox Games in Plato’s Cave. Test your quiz skills and make friends. 

Speak Your Piece, Wed, November 22, 12-1:30pm, Room 300 

On Wed, November 22, 12-1:30pm, join us in Room 300 for Speak Your Piece. The world needs your voice, so what are you waiting for? Through open dialogue and discussion, we will be exploring topics that matter, and voices that need to be heard. It’s our chance to come together, celebrate diversity and welcome people through conversations that matter. This month our discussion is on the cultural and spiritual celebration of Diwali in the traditions of Hinduism, Jainism, and Sikhism.
